REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

OPEN / CREATE A SPORTS CONNECT ACCOUNT

To register your child as a participant in the soccer program, you must have an account on our Sports Connect local portal https://www.ayso73.org. Creating an account is only required once for a parent.
S
ee also under menu item PARENTS for more information.

When you create an account and your child participates in the program and/or you participate as a volunteer then you will follow all AYSO National and Regional rules & policies without exception. You will be responsible for any guest you bring or allow to attend so that they also follow these rules and policies.

The parent has a unique email address which will become the logon ID for the account.
The account holder is the primary account holder. This person is responsible for all payments and correspondence
with AYSO region 73 concerning the participating player(s).
A secondary account holder may be allowed on the account and has some restriction.

Register your child as a player (participant) for a soccer program like Fall 2023 through this account.
You must be the parent (or legal guardian) of the child in your household. Do not let a coach or other person
sign up your child and you pay him/her the membership fees. This practice is illegal and violates AYSO Rules
and regulations and insurance policies.
AYSO R73 communicates with the primary account holder who is responsible for emergency contacts, allowing emergency treatments and making decisions for the player as part of their household.

Sports Connect accounts must be kept current. AYSO will use your account information as needed to contact you for payments and for refunds.
The child is placed in the age division based on the year of birth. The system creates random balanced teams as per AYSO philosophy based on player evaluations of previous seasons. The player skills are evaluated by coaches each season.
Report if you suspect illegal manipulation of the system to get certain players in a team circumventing the balanced team philosophy of AYSO. We want all players to have fun. AYSO has more competitive levels than the core program. Core is mainly for fun and player development. Contact us about other AYSO programs.

REFUND POLICY

Please read our refund policies on the main menu under the REFUND POLICY tab.

VOLUNTEERS

AYSO is a volunteer driven organization and nobody gets paid to help with the soccer program. Parents and volunteers will together shape the program in our region and we encourage every family to find some volunteers to help with the program. Your volunteer does not have to be the parent or in the same household. Each volunteer has an individual Sports Connect account. Volunteers and youth volunteer have their own account. A family circle can be created by having one parent invite other (youth) volunteers using the invite option (not myself) when selecting roles in the volunteer procedure.
A volunteer coach can have his own child on the team. A player can be a youth volunteer providing meeting the requirements.

Please look at the main menu under the tab VOLUNTEERING & TRAINING how to register and sign up as an AYSO volunteer.
