THE AYSO PARENT

All AYSO parents have a Sports Connect account. Another parent/guardian can be registered
under the same account so he/she can view the players and account information like orders.
In this account they register players as participants in the soccer season.
Parents (or legal guardians) are the only persons which can sign up the player.
When you sign up with AYSO you agree to follow all regional policies without exception.

NOTE: DO NOT LET any coach sign up your player under his/her Sports Connect Account
It violates AYSO Policies and Protocols and insurance policies.

EMERGENCY TREATMENT
The parent are the only persons which provide the emergency contacts, make decisions on receiving emergency care and provide insurance for the players in their household.
AYSO insurance is secondary to the household health care insurance.

VOLUNTEERING
Parents do not have to volunteer but we strongly recommend that you find some person.
Your player will have the best opportunity to enjoy the soccer season with team volunteers.
Most parents which volunteer with their child youth volunteer share a special bond of experience.
Youth volunteers can earn their community service by volunteering for AYSO.
Parent volunteers can develop their leadership skills in many ways.

Procedures for registering as AYSO (youth) volunteer or as AYSO volunteer.
Here a few basic things to understand workings of a Sports Connect Account (SCA).

1. Only Primary account holders of SCA should create an AYSO volunteer application. 
2. Every access to an SCA requires a unique email. The email is a login ID for an SCA.
4. Primary Account Holder has a portable SCA. Secondary Account Holder has not.
4. Youth volunteers should not create an SCA without a guardian/parent SCA in the system first.
5. The family circle procedure is internal link of one SCA with another SCA.
6. Secondary Account Holders create a new SCA for volunteering.
7. The invite procedure is strictly only required for youth volunteers. For others it is optional.

LIFETIME FRIENDS
AYSO volunteers through the program can make friends which can last a lifetime.
Every volunteer must have its own unique email account and own Sports Connect account.
Your credentials will be on the AYSO books as long as you volunteer.
A parent can create also a volunteer invitation to others and add them to the family circle.
