CONCESSION
VOLUNTEERS
At Region 73 we provide concession services for our community members. The service is run by volunteers.
Consider helping us for a few hours.
We are licensed by the City of Bakersfield and must follow the City ordinances and follow strict food safety standards.
PRODUCTS
We offer a limited choice of products and it depends on the community.
All food products have a limited shelf life time and we must sell them in a short period of time.
We do our best to keep the prices reasonable for our community members, minimize waste and trash for the good of our environment,
and follow rules for safety and health. Our Region is providing service for the convenience for our members.
PAYMENT
The members can pay with cash or electronci with ZELLE.
ZELLE we selected for the following reasons:
1. Instantaneous payment and refunds
2. No transaction fees added.
3. Convenient with smart phone.
4. No reader required like with credit or debit cards. Reducing costs.
5. Most banks support Zelle. Anyone can get a ZELLE account even if they do not have a bank account.
6. Reduces cash at the counter Reducing time close-out time for our volunteers.
7. Reduce waiting/service time at the counter.
OTHER ELECTRONIC PAYMENT
We not offer other form of electronic payments like VENMO or CREDIT CARD or DEBIT CARD.
It is because the providers will add transaction fees, delay the transmission, delay refunds, require additional software and/or hardware which will have monthly fees regardless of use. All this would add fees to pay for by our community.
AGREEMENT
Our Region is not giving permission to sellers typically. Sellers must have a written agreement with AYSO region 73 for permission to sell products at the Kaiser Permanente Sports Village Soccer Fields.
They must be properly Licensed as required by the City of Bakersfield and have the Insurance for liability on their products.
ILLEGAL SALES.
Neither the CIty of Bakersfield or AYSO Region 73 will be responsible if you buy products from a seller who has illegally entered on our fields. They may not have the proper licenses and insurances. Anyone buying from them do so at their own risks.
Neither the CIty of Bakersfield or AYSO Region 73 will help you in any way to receive compensation of any kind for damages, injuries or other mishaps you may suffer.
BARBECUE AND GRILLS
The CITY does not allow barbecue or grill systems anywhere at or near the Soccer Fields Facilities.
They are considered hazards for players and adults and may under the wrong circumstances damage park structures.
The persons can be sued for any damages they may have indirectly or directly caused by using these devices at the soccer fields.
MONITORING
The City is considering installing cameras and provide additional Park Rangers and Police to monitor the fields in the near future.
